Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) and An Achievable Dream (AAD) have expanded their partnership with the opening of a new addition at Lynnhaven Middle School. The 25,000-square-foot addition is the home to the Lynnhaven AAD High School Program. The program currently services ninth through 11th graders and will expand to 12th grade next year.
The School Board of the City of Virginia Beach utilizes committees to review information, provide an opportunity for community input, study the impact or potential impact decisions may have on our students, staff, schools and community as well as a chance to explore options and requests from constituents. The committees provide the opportunity for discussion and information sharing relating to their subject areas prior to presenting recommendations to the full Board.
Below is a list of the committees in place and a brief description of the scope of their work. School Board Committee meeting dates and times are subject to change. Please email the Clerk of the Board or call 757.263.1016 to confirm meeting dates and to obtain a copy of committee meeting agendas.
