For the 16th time, Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation. Environmental Barriers/Accessibility
- Generally
It is the desire of the School Board that the facilities of the School Division be made accessible and usable by persons with disabilities in accordance with state and federal law and regulation.
- New Construction
The design, construction or alteration of any new School Division facility shall be accomplished in conformance with the "American National Standard Specifications for Making Buildings and Facilities Accessible to, and Usable by, the Physically Handicapped," published by the American National Standards Institute, Inc. (ANSI).
