These measures provide a more detailed view of school quality and student outcomes across the state.
The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) released Standard of Learning (SOL) pass rate data on Aug. 27. The overall SOL pass rates for Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) exceeded the state pass rates in all subject areas.

The School Board may reimburse employees for any clothing or personal effects damaged or destroyed by a student in the scope and course of employment, provided such damage or destruction is not the result of the employee's negligence.
