The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) released Standard of Learning (SOL) pass rate data on Aug. 27. The overall SOL pass rates for Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) exceeded the state pass rates in all subject areas.

Tutoring for Pay
The Superintendent or designee shall ensure that teachers not privately tutor for pay any student whom they are currently teaching. Unless approval is given by the principal, a teacher shall not privately tutor for pay any students whom they taught the previous school term. Teachers are not to advise that students be tutored by paid tutors without prior consultation with the principal.
