The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) released Standard of Learning (SOL) pass rate data on Aug. 27. The overall SOL pass rates for Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) exceeded the state pass rates in all subject areas.

STUDENTS
Possession/Use of Pepper Gas, Mace or Similar Substances
- Students shall not supply, handle, use, transmit, or possess pepper gas, mace, or similar substances on school board property, on the way to or from school, or while at school sponsored or related activities.
- Students violating this regulation shall automatically receive a discipline referral to the principal or assistant principal for appropriate disciplinary action which may include suspension and/or a recommendation for long-term suspension or expulsion.
