Collection of Fees

The need is recognized for limiting, to the extent possible, the administrative burden of fee collection upon classroom teachers. Within this context, schools will continue to implement alternatives to reduce the role of classroom teachers in such duties including the collection of school lunch fees, picture money, and book fees. Types of alternatives may include, but are not limited to, payment of fees during the summer and/or at a centralized location once school begins. Principals will be encouraged, whenever possible, to eliminate the classroom/homeroom teachers' responsibility for the collection of fees.
