The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) released Standard of Learning (SOL) pass rate data on Aug. 27. The overall SOL pass rates for Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) exceeded the state pass rates in all subject areas.

STUDENTS
Voter Registration
Voting is a basic civic responsibility. The School Board supports education programs for students that teach the rights that citizens have to register and vote and the role and importance of voting in citizen engagement. The Superintendent or designee is authorized to develop such programs for students and to allow only secondary social studies teachers approved by the Department of Teaching and Learning (DTAL), and the Voter Registration and Elections Office to conduct voter registration programs for high school and adult education students.
